Regardless of which Audi A7 Sportback model you choose, you will be rewarded with a car that always offers decent performance. Although nothing to get carried away about, even the lower end models deliver effectively. Some A7s employ a double clutch S tronic semi auto while others have the more standard CVT automatic gearbox. Both options smoothly deliver on the power.

If you opt for the air suspension you will discover that your A7 is remarkably stable and composed especially on roads with lots of twists and turns. Some may find that the negative of this is that it's a bit too firm in built up areas but once a decent speed is reached it tends to smooth itself out again. You won't be short of grip either with even the entry level diesel scoring well in this regard. Steering isn't as confident, however, feeling a little a lighter than perhaps it should.

The kit lists certainly haven't been skimped on for any of the Audi A7's and one of the mainstays of all the standard packs is the acoustic windscreen. If you are looking for even more noise reduction then you could decide to also select the double glazed side windows. With these employed, wind and road noise is really minimal. Diesels are surprising too, where you are greeted with more of a growl than a rattle when you put your foot down!

Features and trim are excellent for all models with all getting heated electric seats, powered tailgate, iPod ready audio, DAB radio, Bluetooth, Sat Nav and leather upholstery. It really is a generously packed set of features. For the tech savvy there are even more options with Google Earth implemented on the Sat Nav, massaging seats, 15 speaker Bang & Olufsen stereo and an auto parking system, so a little something for everyone.

I have been the proud owner of my A7 for a month now and I am still discovering new and exciting things about it. For something classed as standard spec...It really is excellent! Obviously the car looks great but to actually see heads turning in the street when I drive past is really cool! The engine behaves and sounds great regardless of the surface. If anyone is currently looking at the A7 and wondering, then wonder no more, it's a terrific car and it gets the thumbs up from me.
