All of the available engines for this three door mini roster, have a familiar and friendly feel to them. Both petrol and diesel engine options are strong and powerful and deliver on their promise of being excellent to drive. All models in this range have a six speed gearbox as the standard option.
The wheelbase on the Mini Clubman is longer than that of the three door version. With the addition of revamped settings for the suspension, there is a small but noticeable change to the way the car handles. Heading into the corners doesn't feel quite as precise but it compensates somewhat by being friendlier over road bumps. Thankfully, all the fun associated with driving the three door version is retained here.
As you would expect from a Mini, the engine tone is the thing of dreams and always performs smoothly. Elsewhere, however, there are some minor quirks that may be off putting to some, such as some noise as the wind hits the body panels. This seems to be most noticeable by the rear windows. When travelling at speed there is also some noticeable noise from the road that filters into the cabin.
There is certainly a generous choice of trims available, allowing the buyer to get as close to personal preference as possible. These trim packages are namely, Cooper, Cooper S, Cooper D and the Works trim. If you have looked at the three door options, you will notice that in general the same specifications are replicated here. However, there are a handful of options that are entirely exclusive for this Mini Clubman range, including a choice of either silver or black rear door pillars. There is also the addition of an extra headrest in the back that is exclusive to this range. So, there's plenty of variety and plenty of paint and colour schemes to tempt even further.

I've had my Mini Clubman for several months now and I have to say there's nothing quite like driving it. It's so good on the corners...really enjoyable. I think the handling really makes it, everybody says they handle really well and it's true! Great feedback from the engine too! I know it's only been a few months, but certainly no problems with regards to reliability yet. Whoever sees the car is really impressed with it and the interior really is pretty special. So, all in all, I have to say this is top notch so far.
