The Audi A6 Allroad Quattro is a popular car and certainly one of the most used road vehicles in the world. Compared to the standard A6, the Allroad Quattro has a more robust appearance and the increase in ride height is certainly noticeable. The high levels of comfort are aided by the adaptive and adjustable air suspension. The towing capacity here is also more than worthy of note.

Taking a closer look at the Audi A6 Allroad Quattro reveals a 3.0 litre engine as standard, featuring a 7-speed dual clutch transmission set up. Those seeking a manual set-up preference will be disappointed. The Quattro all-wheel drive system seen featured on the regular A6 model is also on board in this Allroad version with a torque split of 40/60, front to back.
Out on the road, the car holds nicely into the corners. Those who have enjoyed the agile nature of the standard A6 will be pleased to feel a very similar handling model, thanks to the dynamic suspension setting which can be used to lower it. If you were to measure the “feel” side by side, the Allroad would certainly have the edge as far we are concerned.
Once comfort mode is switched on, the ride here is close to sublime. The manufacturer’s consistency and high quality levels are without doubt evident, with room galore in the interior and very little in the way of wind or road noise to spoil the journey.
Take the Audi A6 Allroad Quattro out for a spin and all of these qualities come into play and are especially noticeable across roads that are uneven and have seen better days. The body control ensures that this car tackles the surface more efficiently, than say a taller vehicle such as a SUV. It’s fair to say that on roads in poor condition, this Quattro has few equals and the standard suspension setting shows its qualities here. Whether set to comfort or automatic, the overall feel is one of accuracy and poise. It is only when slipping into some of the more sporty set-ups that some of the smoothness is sacrificed.
