“In Car Connected Services” & why might it matter to me?
LexAutolease who are a potential provider of a credit facility for your new vehicle lease require our business to relay an important message which may adversely affect the enjoyment & functionality of your new vehicle, potentially for the whole agreement life & for which you will not receive a rebate, concession or reduction in the whole agreement life cost.
This message (& no there may be no other reference to Connected Services within your final contractual agreement with LexAutolease) may not be specifically or otherwise mentioned within in the terms of any future vehicle lease agreement with LexAutolease but you should be aware of this before (in the future) you sign & agree to the terms of an agreement with this provider.
LexAutolease will not record any document as fact but we will be asked them to hold this record on file should your order proceed & subsequently you decide that the use of Connected Services is right for you in the future but whereby if LexAutolease do not support the use of Connected Services in the future you will still be unable to access this service/s.
If you order a vehicle from Morgan Highfield & Land & the lender is LexAutolease then you will be required to sign & return are more formal version of this document along with your contractual agreement from LexAutolease but it will not form part of your agreement with a lender nor with us, only that we have been asked to put you or your business on notice of this message by LexAutolease.
For the avoidance of doubt, if you have reasonable grounds to suspect that you or your business will require the use of Connected Services now or in the future for your new vehicle you should make it known to Morgan Highfield & Land at the earliest opportunity that you do not wish to request a quotation or apply for your credit facility with a lender that restricts the use of Connected Services.
Please note, being insistent about the use of Connected Services may also have an adverse on the whole life agreement costs, the range of products & services available & could increase the early settlement costs payable if you terminate their agreement with you earlier than expected.
You should also be aware that not all lenders offer options for inclusive maintenance & replacement tyres with a no quibble policy.
The vehicle lease agreement you may ultimately sign may not inform you about all of your obligations to the LexAutolease.
If you have any queries about the products & services we offer then please let a member of our team know at the earliest opportunity.
Q. What are Connected Services?
A. Car & Commercial manufacturers are always looking at furthering new technology.
In recent years with increased availability of smart phones, high speed internet & dynamic Wi-Fi “In Car” (“In Car” is a term used to describe services or devices that are available inside or connected to your vehicle) a wide array of new services are available to improve telematics integration, reduce journey times & enhance your driving experience.
Connected Services extend the functionality of most new vehicles supplied today & are often included within the standard specification of a new vehicle.
Some of these services may be available for a limited period, have a limited or free of charge subscription period, attract an ongoing cost to subscribe &/or you may incur additional charges that are not included within your lease agreement with LexAutolease.
Examples (but not limited to & these may not be services that are even available to your vehicle or in fact already integral to your standard offline specification) of Connected Services might be;
Live traffic updates, vehicle tracking, remote locking or automatic heating activation or the use of “Apps”
Your infotainment system, telephone & telematics functionality may be severely restricted.
Your vehicle may not receive critical updates to software
Your user experience maybe reduced when compared to another user who has the benefits of a Connected Service.
Q. Why do LexAutolease not “Opt in” to Connected Services?
A. LexAutolease have carried comprehensive reviews of Connected Services & conclude the only way to ensure customers receive the high level of customer service & so they are also able to meet all customer requirements is to “switch off” the use of Connected Services at this time.
Q. Will LexAutolease “switch on” Connected Services in the future?
A. If you have reasonable grounds to suspect that you or your business will require the use of Connected Services now or in the future for your new vehicle you should specifically make it known at the 1st opportunity that you require the use of Connected Services.
We will help you seek an alternative credit facility with a lender that does not restrict the use of Connected Services but this may have an adverse effect on the whole life lease cost along & other benefits already detailed.
Q. When you we & “others” told me about the use of “Connected Services”
A. Information about the benefits of Connected Services may appear in product literature, marketing, price lists & brochures from other car manufactures away from our organisation for which we can have no control.

A. We have been instructed by LexAutolease to confirm that Connected Services will not be “switched on” & no such agreements can be entered into on their behalf.
Q. What’s the big deal, I don’t really feel the need to use 3rd party Apple or Android devices & Aps to monitor “Connected Services” & my vehicle will still look the same?
