However, as standard, the i5 Touring offers a 14.9-inch dual curved screen infotainment system, AirPlay/ Android Auto phone connectivity function, wireless charging capabilities and a spacious 570-litre interior boot space, which can be extended to 1700-litres.

Electric cars previously have not had to pay Vehicle Excise Duty (VED), which is sometimes called Road Tax. However, this changed on the 1st of April, 2025.
From the 1st of April 2025, drivers of electric vehicles need to pay VED for the first time:
- For most EV drivers, this will cost £200 a year. This includes EVs registered between the 1st of April 2017 and the 31st of March 2025.
- New electric cars registered on or after 1 April 2025 pay the lowest first-year rate of £10. From the second year, they pay the standard rate of £200 a year.
- Drivers of new electric vehicles with a list price that exceeds £50,000 also pay the Expensive Car Supplement of £440 a year, from the second to the sixth year of the vehicle’s life. This is on top of the standard rate, giving an annual total of £640 for those five years. The threshold for electric cars rose from £40,000 to £50,000 on the 1st of April 2026.
- EVs registered between the 1st of March 2001 and the 30th of March 2017 moved from band A to band B and only need to pay £20 a year.
